Olson Engage Adds Two Vice Presidents

Jenny Bulla and Briana Haas-Zak Bolster Strategic Communications, Account Management

CHICAGO – Olson Engage today announced the hiring of Jenny Bulla and Briana Haas-Zak as vice presidents in the fast-growing agency’s Chicago and New York offices.

Based in Chicago, Bulla joins the agency as VP/Strategic Communications after spending just under a decade with McDonald’s Corp., where she was most recently director of communications. She provided strategic counsel to senior level executives and orchestrated organization-wide initiatives to gain alignment. She specializes in strategic message development, executive communication and change management. Bulla started her career in education and training – both of which remain areas of passion for her today.

At Olson Engage, Bulla will help lead internal-communications client work and partner with the agency’s fast-growing corporate and public-affairs teams.

Based in New York, Haas-Zak joins the agency as a Vice President, focusing on the Manhattan office’s major accounts, which include PepsiCo, Unilever, BroadwayHD and Screenvision. She brings more than 15 years of agency experience to the role, having worked most recently as vice president for brand communications at PMK*BNC, and previously at agencies including Cohn & Wolfe and Weber Shandwick. Briana has developed successful integrated marketing campaigns for top consumer companies including Unilever, JM Smucker, Beam Suntory and PepsiCo.

These hires come in the wake of the agency’s very strong 2016 performance, in which it grew revenue by 16% and was named a finalist for PR Week’s Midsize Agency of the Year award for the third time in four years.

Bulla and Haas-Zak are the latest in a series of capability-boosting VP hires by Olson Engage, which since late 2015 has added former McDonald’s Senior Director of U.S. Communications Jeff Olson as Executive Vice President, former PF Chang’s China Bistro and Beam Suntory executive Jason Miller as VP/Social Engagement, and former Citizen Relations media-practice lead Joe Edelson as VP/Media Relations.

“Jenny and Briana are strong, experienced leaders who will immediately make a great team even better,” said Olson Engage President Bryan Specht. “They’ll be major assets for both our clients and our people.”
